History of Henk Wind Transport

Henk Wind Transport was established in 1976. At the time, Henk Wind was given the option by his employer to take over the fleet. And his own company became a reality…

From 1987, the company started to grow and the fleet was expanded. Henk Wind initially plied to and from Scandinavia at this time. After a while, son Jaap and daughter Joke took over part of the work. In the early years, the company mostly provided trucking services for a number of hauliers. At the time, the company serviced various destinations across Europe. The trucks of Henk Wind Transport not only plied to and from Scandinavia, but also to and from Spain and Italy.
From 1990, Henk Wind Transport focussed solely on Scandinavia. A considerable clientele was built up, particularly in Zealand (Copenhagen) and South and Central Sweden.

New premises

In 1998, Henk Wind Transport put a new office into operation. This was followed in 2000 by a storage and transhipment facility with a floor space of 600 square metres. Henk Wind Transport continued to develop. A new location was commissioned in October 2008 and Henk Wind Transport is now based in Ter Apelkanaal.
